I was hired as an Interaction Designer/Visual Designer at CITTIO on April 17, 2006. Prior to my fulfillment of these roles, the company's sole thin client offering was developed and maintained by a handful of engineers. They had recognized the need for usability in the product as their clients scaled in size and number.
CITTIO was a place where I wore many hats. The company was small and lean by design, and a there was a lot of work output by a relatively small core team. My everyday tasks ranged from writing functional specs, creating page flows and schematics in either Visio or Omnigraffle, creating low-fidelity and sometimes high-fidelity comps, creating the necessary visual artifacts, integrating those artifacts and code into the existing product, and sometimes helping out technical support with customer issues. |
