Icon and Visual Design

As a visual designer for the STARTux group, I created icons for internal and external applications. Through an in-house icon request tool, I tracked projects as they came in and went through iterations and finally completion. Upon completion and approval, I updated the icon repository with the official versions to make them widely available to developer groups.

I was also responsible for converting icons from the older, BLAF look to a new, more vibrant version. These visually richer icons are part of the Oracle Fusion set of applications. Most of these icons were in .png format, but a subset were created as SVGs.

Aside from icon work, our group created other artifacts such as images for application wizards and graphic headers.

Other Work

• Created the visual style for the STARTux wiki, a place where the designers can post links to projects and receive comments and answer questions from their peer groups.
• Created web page and application templates for developer groups to present at OracleWorld.
• Updated the download sections of the Oracle.com site.
